Intact Auto Insurance Rebate – Rebate Expired June 30 2020

We are very excited to share Intact Insurance’s plan to help our customers during the COVID-19 crisis.  Intact policy holders have several options available to help save on their insurance costs:

–15% Discount for Reduced Driving:  If you are no longer commuting, or driving your vehicle for business as a direct result of COVID-19, Intact will provide an instant 15% rebate effective immediately.  This rebate will automatically remain on your policy until June 30, 2020.

Due to the high volume of requests, the average time to process and issue the rebate will take about 3 weeks.  Rebates are processed on the date order received.

–75% Rebate for Vehicles Not Driven 45 days or longer:  For customers that will not be driving their vehicles and wish to “park” their cars, we are able to apply the OPCF16 endorsement.  This option provides policy holders with an instant rebate of 75% off their car insurance premiums.  This endorsement does require your vehicle remain parked for a minimum of 45 days.  A form is required to be signed confirming that the vehicle will not be driven under any circumstance for the minimum 45 day duration.

–Reduce Coverage to Fire and Theft:  This is the ideal solution for clients with multiple vehicles in the household that only want to drive one car for the foreseeable future.  We can remove all but Comprehensive coverage (aka Fire and Theft) on vehicles you choose to “park” in your garage or driveway.  If there is a lien (financing) or lease agreement attached to your vehicle, you will need to obtain written permission from the finance company/lessor first.  A condition of your finance arrangement is that Liability and Collision coverage be maintained at all times.  This is the reason why we require their permission to reduce your insurance coverage.
